Bill Twyman has worked in digital publishing since the beginning of the internet age, exploiting the best of new technologies to deliver solutions that are simple, practical and cost-effective. He has 20 years experience in the digital publishing space — commissioning and contracting writers, structural and copy editing, proofreading and publishing in various digital formats.
Bill Twyman has had a long career in educational publishing. Working for the NSW Department of Education and Training, Bill edited and managed the production of distance education courses for the Years 7–12 curriculum – courses in English, Music, Visual Arts, PDHPE, Modern and Ancient History and Geography.
More recently, Bill was Course Development Manager for the Master of Business & Technology at UNSW’s Australian Graduate School of Management, managing the writing, editing and publishing of 30 courses each year in print and multi-touch book formats. Working for the Learning and Teaching Unit, (Division of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, UNSW) Bill has produced massive open online courses (MOOCs) for the Coursera platform.
Bill has worked as a contract editor at New Holland Publishers and recently developed Asthma First Aid Management in Schools, a multi touch book which will be distributed to all NSW school teachers. He holds a Diploma in Music Education (NSW Conservatorium of Music), a Master of Design Science (University of Sydney) and is an Apple Distinguished Educator.
